The four primary aspects of web site design are CONTENT, TECHNOLOGY, GRAPHICS and simple PRACTICALITY. The primary purpose of content is to inform, motivate or persuade users. Use of current and standardized technology is to implement functionality i.e. online payment or member login feature.
Graphics provide visual and form that speaks volume about a business. Lastly, relates to whether the cost to build this web site is practical. If there is no clear purpose or benefit for building the web site, then why build it in the first place. The web site must have a purposeful relationship with its users where one reciprocates the other and vice versa.
