Our PRIMARY OBJECTIVE with this article is to inform, to save time and money by EDUCATING our clients and the general public thus helping avoid common COSTLY mistakes perpetrated by scam artists. Keep this PRIMARY OBJECTIVE in mind as you read our content below and throughout the site.

Static Web Pages

Static Web Pages as defined by Wikipedia, the free enclypodia, are often HTML (Hyper-Text Mark-up Language) documents stored as files in the file system and made available by the web server over HTTP. In simple terms, think of static HTML pages as a single piece of paper (8-1/2 x 11), a page out of a book or newspaper. Each page is a single piece of paper. Each with different words and pictures. The page is tangible, it has texture, even different colors and layout. You can tear it out and add it to a different book or mail it to a friend even make a bunch of copies and distribute to others. Its portable and safe to use...just like paper. HTML Static Web Pages are just that, a text files disguised as a web page, if you can grasp that. Text files are just like text messages you send over mobile phones. Well, think of it this way, stick and stones may break my bones but words or texts can never hurt me nor any of my computers.

With HTML Static Web Pages being so safe, search engines do not have a problem reading and indexing these pages. We can build beautiful custom presentations with simple HTML web pages that can be customized for a specific audience. Once your static web pages have been indexed by search engines, it is cached on their server, forever (at least 18 months, according to my sources). Naturally, these pages still have to be built properly and in accordance to Internet rules and guidelines. Managing a large number of static web pages can become overwhelming and at some point will resort to adding dynamic web pages into the mix.

Dynamic Web Pages

Dynamic Web Pages, in simple terms, are database generated web pages. All content are coming from a database that have various pieces of information and compiles them and arrange it to make up a web page. Dynamic websites, in some cases, only has one page and have unlimited web pages because the content of that page is constantly changing, rotating and evolving. This is what Wikipedia has to say:

A dynamic web page is a kind of web page that has been prepared with fresh information (content and/or layout), for each individual viewing. It is not static because it changes with the time (ex. a news content), the user (ex. preferences in a login session), the user interaction (ex. web page game), the context (parametric customization), or any combination of the foregoing.

When thinking of dynamic web sites, think of big online companies like Apple, Microsoft, Amazon, HP, Facebook, Ebay and even Search Engines like Google, Bing, Dogpile and Search Directories like Yahoo and DMOZ. The common denominator among these companies is that they all have massive amount of content and information to provide and share with the public. With that much information coming from various sources, must be sorted, classified, combined, compiled, compressed and approved makes dynamic web pages as the obvious solution and answer to the obvious dilema of data presentation.

In most cases, dynamic websites are NOT search engine friendly, period. The nature of dynamic web pages is that it is always changing. (I made a funny.) Much like a single page of a book, everytime I turn to that page, I can count on it having the same words and pictures. Whereas, with a dynamic web page, I can never tell what information I'll be presented with at that moment. Therefore, search engines cannot reliably refer to a dynamic web page with certainty and confidence that it has the information that the user is looking for. Let me remind you that another common factor among these big companies is that they have all have huge marketing budgets so people around the world already who they are and in most cases, know their website address, making search engine optimization or internet marketing a moot process. Nevertheless, let it be known, no matter how big the company, they still have to make every effort in making their content as safe and as widely distributed as possible through mainstream media. I don't know about you, but that's not necessarily out of my league.

Dynamic websites are not necessarily for the ordinary business.
